Pied variety standard

1. they should have a white head and white should go over the head to the back of the neck . they should be a pure white neither cream nor light yellow.

2. patch of display plumage of pied spotted neck dove should be an original colour . the display plumage should be full and no distortion.

3. breast should be white , no other colour and should be white onto the lower belly.

4. wings originally pied dove have small markings which are place on some wing feathers and some small area on body parts. Now pied dove were developed to have bigger white markings . a standard for wings is to have all primary flights and secondary flights in white . Underwings are all white, on it’s back should have colour marking like saddle shape and marking should be balanced on both sides.

5. a good tail should be white with no other colour.

6. eyes should be same colour , pied dove can have black eyes with white or yellow iris, black eyes and red eyes.

7. bill should be pink no grey or black spot. Legs and feet are pink or red and nails should be white

8. a wining dove should be style and stance , it must be a good shape and structure in proportion to the body. Markings should place in a right position, balance and no colour spots.
